Photography is an art form. Whether you capture your family's precious memories or take beautiful photographs for a living or perhaps you are a photographic artist, you will know that it is art. Photographs are some of the most beautiful and moving art pieces ever created, and yes; your family photographs qualify as art too. For the serious photographer there is nothing better than a digital SLR camera for the job.
You are offered dozens of features to pick and choose from to make your end result all the better for it. That brings us to choosing the perfect digital SLR camera lens for your needs. Your digital SLR camera lens can make or break your photographic experience despite the camera quality. Okay, you cannot go and put a thousand dollar lens on a fifty-dollar camera and hope it will work miracles but the digital SLR camera lens has a huge role in picture quality in the end, where it matters.
Lenses For Life
Lenses are everything when you are working with any kind of camera. Whether you own a normal SLR camera or a digital video camera, you will have figured out the importance of different lenses. The digital SLR camera lens will either make or break the quality of your end result. So, skimping here is not an option. When shopping for your new photographic companion you should not underestimate what a digital SLR camera lens can do for your relationship.
Now, the different lenses available to you may seem overwhelming in the beginning. But, if you have patience and take the time you will soon see them in a completely different light. The digital SLR camera lens is your friend, an extension of your relationship with your camera. And as such it should be treated with the same care that you took when picking out your camera. If that is not enough to convince you then the price of the lenses should, they do not come cheap and you cannot afford to waste money on the wrong digital SLR camera lens.
You need to research which lenses would suit your type and style of photography better. You can choose from a wide variety. Do you need micro or macro lenses? Perhaps you need wide angle or telephoto lenses. Maybe plain normal lenses will do it for you or a zoom lens. Perhaps your prime suspect is a prime lens. You will never know which digital SLR camera lens or lenses you will need until you get your hands dirty and start reading about your photographic companion online.
Great menu system, easy to use controls with a wonderful 3" display. The supplied lens is the downfall for me, the image quality is okay but the "feel" is distressing. I know the lens is a trade off, offering a lot for the price but putting an "L" lens on the XSi Rebel is a real eye opener, brings the camera to life. Were I to do it over I would easily still buy the XSi Rebel body but would purchase a good prime lens (fast Canon 35 or 50mm) and give up the benefits of the zoom. Soon after purchasing the XSi Rebel kit I added a Canon 135 f2 L and was rewarded with some stunning photos with great "pop". While putting a high quality (and high priced) lens changes the XSi Rebel from a good camera to a great camera the reviewed lens/body combination is a great move up for most of us and priced well. Battery life is amazingly good and the RAW image files are supported by many software packages. The body with a simpler, high quality lens would receive a 5 star rating from this consumer.
Having owned two Canon Rebels previously (SLR and DSLR) I find the Canon XSi Rebel to follow in their footsteps quite nicely. Familiarity with an proven model helps when evaluating a newer version and I find the Canon XSi Rebel to be just as versatile and easy to use with great results as my other Canons. I am very pleased with this latest addition.
Canon XSi Rebel - Just the Opposite From the High Ratings in Numerous Professional Reviews
I sold my 2004 Nikon D70 in order to get the money and space for this camera. Since its debut in early 2008, this Canon XSi Rebel has always been rated at the very top of cameras of its class by every magazine I've read, including Popular Photography, Digital Photography Review, PC World, Camera Labs, etc. It's turned out to be a big disappointment and I almost returned it to Amazon. The color sometimes seems to be washed out even though there's no over-exposure. My now-sold Nikon D70 is much better than this cheap camera. I should have listened to a salesman at the local Samy's who told me Canon XSi Rebel is not even close to Nikon D80.
For Lens Kit Deals Click The Blue Links Below D90 Lens, the goal of the kit is good enough?
I heard that the goal of the D90 kit (18-105mm) is slightly lower compared with the target population of Canon. I wondered if there was a good alternative for about the same price within the range itself.
I hate it how are you really matter - the goal of the D90 kit is simply "gradient" of a lens in stock at Canon? What does however, mean - compared with what? The Canon 18-55 IS? Please .... You should worry more about what to do with the camera that objective complain, my friend. Because it will not be long before starting to be obsessed with more equipment than it used to take pictures. The goal of the kit is pretty good. They worry about learning to use it, then you will understand why you need another Lens - on their own. Nikon and Canon lenses are the same. And no, there is no good substitute for the same price. You will find that the lenses Maximum of the camera, and you will notice that many "best" lenses cost more than you paid for the camera photo. No glass "cheap" good gain. There are two that are a step up from the 18-105 - 16-85mm VR 18-200mm VR - both cost more than $ 600. I use the 16-85, and it is better "standard" DX lenses I used, I have mine, when $ 550, but the price is $ 650. Nikon has announced version II 18-200, which corrects problems, mainly with the first version, but is optically different. This is a Superzoom, with a 11x zoom. He has a good amount of distortion in comparison with the shorter (and more) 16-85, but is also good (and more), it also costs about $ 650 - $ 700. Unfortunately, there is an answer for that. Really varied. Many photographers know the later lawsuit fastest digital SLR and insofar as it is, nothing else will. But this is not the way we have worked a few years ago. High speed automatic approach is relatively new and some photographers are rebelling against the company and paying a small fortune lenses designed with manual focus in mind, as they ever were.
It was not so long ago, I was told by many professional photographers that digital could never compete with film and therefore a waste of time. In this time I had a Mamiya 120 roll film camera and an Olympus digital output of the camera bag. I ignored the advice of these photographers, who said no was no future in digital imaging and showed my clients and potential clients. While there was some ongoing discussion and photographers were so many write about the Digital quality is not as good as the movie. When I asked if I wanted to draw on her own wedding in digital or film, said it was their choice and they showed the results of my work side chambers of both parties. 100% chose 4-megapixel medium format digital film. I never looked back. Interestingly I recently met the defense of friends who chose to stay with film. What we do works for them and while I would not do myself, I can see why it's good for some models business and some photographers. Digital is not necessarily easier or cheaper than film.
My personal view on most cameras medium and high end digital SLRs are more than capable of providing the basic tools to photograph a wedding. I do not want to talk now about what needs to learn to photograph a wedding with success, because this issue is not a test. The short version is a few good seasons of wedding photography. Then there is the processing, digital imaging, design reviews, the Presentation of Marriage Promotion Service. The book will come later.
So let's do this and pretend they are in actually gray and black and white I'll talk a little about my personal preferences now and how he would build a camera bag from scratch, so I only had the money and my knowledge, but not the pile of material that I have now. I guess for this scenario to work, is considered a type of event in my luggage and camera kit burning and I have a new insurance application. The idea fills me with fear, but if it is I was, this is probably what you would:
First get a hammer and batteries Flashgun - Metz or Quantum Then a small camera bag - great for loading equipment around a whole day together, like a Lowepro Commercial AW or similar. Also a smart backpack, Lowepro as Bilingham or well-padded and also binders, such as the Billingham Hadley or a Tamrac shoulder type. Tripod Manfrotto Monopod and. A very big tripod, a standard and a monopod.
All this is pretty obvious, but now stars complicated.
Lentils. I like a variety, from fisheye to about 300 mm, a macro and a Lensbaby for fun. I do not necessarily each lens with me to every job. This amount will vary depending of what the site offers. The macro is unlikely to be with me at night. There is a strong argument for prime lenses, but lenses are heavy and have to think about what After performing can use several of them, so maybe a prime target for photography in low light and Differential short, make the macro a prime number and also the fisheye approach and then the rest on the zoom or going to be like a camel broken.
Personally, I am very interested in new 18-200mm zoom. When you work quickly, you can do the same with one of them. You may be in a small area to organize a group photo of the family until the end of 18 mm, but then if someone is waiting to complete the group, can do head shots of each with the same lens zoom to 200, while you are waiting.
Subject: What works. A beautiful thing that fits on the above, speak kindly to my Flashgun and has an air to it.
Then Some cards - probably CF professional range with some good reviews, software, rescue and a hotline 24 hours.
After that, is really just toys. I especially like remote controls and autometers yet. I also have a silent snap-shot high-end and between AUTOMETER and noise of the camera, we have some great pictures in the churches where the photos during the service are not permitted on the basis of clicking and flashing can be distracting. Because the camera does not blink in silence or clicks, I think we do well in the Church and of the couple as a good record of events, where it was announced that there would be no.
What you carry when you're shooting? Or what would you do if you were starting from scratch or building your fancy camera bag?
Need help with camera settings in the light of photography. I use a Sony Alpha 200 digital?
I want to use a flash. I've been photographing bands live in a nightclub. Most of my pictures come out grainy and my subjects in motion on stage were blurry. I better opportunities with higher ISO and selection of standard setting in my camera. This helps blur moved, but the photos are very grainy and not sharp. Any suggestions?
You do not say what lens you use, so I'm guessing their actions f3.5/5.6 18-70mm that comes with the camera. Although its purpose is not bad, not great suitable for low light, do not use the flash. Conditions such as those requiring quick goal to keep the ISO settings low while giving you a speed shutter. I suggest buying a 50mm f1.4 lens Minolta Maxxum .* A 50mm lens on the A200 will be a 75-mm equivalent lens. How this help? The 2 is f1.4 Lens 2 / 3 stops faster than the 18-70mm at the end of 18 mm (f3.5) and 4 stops faster at the end 70mm (f5.6). Here are some hypothetical examples to see the importance of the speed of the lens: ISO 400 F1.4 @ 1 / 125 sec. ~ F3.5 @ 1 / 20 sec. F5.6 @ 1 / 8 sec. ISO 800 F1.4 @ 1 / 250 sec. ~ F3.5 @ 1 / 40 sec. F5.6 @ 1 / 15 sec. ISO 1600 f1.4 1 / 500 sec. ~ F3.5 @ 1 / 80 Se. F5.6 @ 1 / 30 sec. As you can easily see, its all about the speed of the lens. You will be able to maintain its lowest ISO that will improve your image quality, maintain a shutter speed. Another advantage a lens F1.4 will be a bright viewfinder that aids composition and the camera's autofocus. Of course not, a prime lens is so versatile as a zoom but you can do what we did when targets "Zoom" that did not exist - they move closer or farther away. Best off angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the ah "-ha." Ernst Haas. Al shoot, using the top program of noise reduction. Filmed primarily in opening with the goal wide open and let the camera take care of the shutter speed. * Each legacy Minolta Maxxum AF made since 1985 is compatible with the A200. I found a Minolta Maxxum 50mm f1.4 in http://www.keh.com $ 325.00 in "As new condition. KEH is a very good seller reputation online. Here are some trust of other online retailers: http://www.uniquephoto.com http://www.bhphotovideo.com http://www.beachcamera.com http://www.adorama.com Of course, you can always try eBay. I saw a 50mm f1.4 on a Buy Now Price $ 259.00 and the other in the bid, which is currently $ 157.50.

For Body Tamron Deals Click The Blue Links Below Canon 50mm/1.4 lens. This is an issue published yesterday to dispel the confusion?.
I have the Tamron 17-50/2.8 now and want to sell it for the Canon 50mm/1.4. Other goals I have right now are: a) Excellent Canon 10-22mm b) Canon 28-135 IS c) Canon 100mm/2.8 I want to get the best combination of lenses there, without sacrificing much 1) Do I win a lot in image quality for Canon Tamron? 2) Will it be foolish to sell this great Tamron 2.8 for the first? 3) The 40D body, which was more logical next lens? 35mm F2 looks good, too. I could buy 35mm and 50/1.8 for the same price as 1.4 ......
I do not understand why you're going for all this lens overlap! You have a 10-22mm large angle, you had a 28-135mm with an already accumulated 17-50mm lens .... why a 100mm and why are you a 50mm?? I do not understand your goals. If you wanted a prime lens for your camera, you'd have a 35mm lens. The rest of the lens should give you something you do not receive lenses form that you already! Is sounds as if you collect glasses for no reason .... established a goal, aim only goals you will need to your photograph and stick to it. Otherwise, you lose a lot of money. Nobody else cares about lenses that you ... not a "I glasses more than you. stake here. If you do not shoot telephoto, and telephoto forget. Goldwing
When I bought my first Canon Digital Rebel, I spent much time working on the lens choices that I made on whether to buy a Canon or Nikon. And believe me, there are many, many targets to choose from.
Here's my take on the choice of lens. If you have much money, get more lenses to cover the wide range of shooting possibilities. You will need a range angle lens for landscapes, a lens midrange for things like portraits and street scenes, and a telephoto lens to capture distant objects. Oh, and you also want to get a dedicated macro target to capitalize on these delicate flowers and butterflies.
Again, if money is not an object, get absolutely Canon "L" lenses. They are the Cadillac of Canon lenses. The "L" lens is glass and very good technology that Canon has to offer.
However, if you're on a budget, you may want to consider obtaining a lens that will cover a multitude of photographic situations. There are some excellent choice for a general "walk around" lens, and all are made by Canon. Tamron and Sigma make lenses for Canon and other brands of cameras, and they have some great lenses, too.
Here's a short list of great speed around the choice of lens:
Tamron AF 28-75mm F2.8 XR Di Zoom - it's a great lens if you plan to take lots of family photos. The beach Zoom is a bit limited, but the image quality is excellent. You get a little more length of 75mm that you make with the kit lens 55mm, even if it lacks a little on the wide end at 28mm instead of 18mm on the kit lens. You also get to f/2.8 which means super speed shutter fast in normal and better pictures in low light situations because the lens allows more light to strike the sensor. User reviews for this lens FredMiranda.com are very high at 8.5 out of 10 for an off-brand lens (fredmiranda users tend to be brand snobbish).
Tamron AF18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro - This is a fantastic choice if you are considering buying one aim. The angle 18mm range is great for landscapes and telephoto 250mm gets you the right to close to almost everything. There is no need to change lenses and miss this opportunity to photograph. FredMiranda.com users have rated this one 8.3 out of 10, which is pretty good for a non-lens brand. It is available for Canon and Nikon digital SLR.
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens - Canon promotes this goal that the kit lens on some of its cameras. It's a nice walk around Lens, which provides high quality images and a fairly large zoom range (approximately 5x). Autofocus is very fast and the IS (image stabilization) is very useful especially in situations of low brightness when the shutter speed slows to compensate for the light. You can get by without a tripod in most situations because of IS.
If you are buying your first DSLR camera, consider getting the body only and substituting one of these lenses for the kit lens. These lenses all sell for less than $500, which in the world of good quality camera lenses is quite attractive. Buying a great walk around lens for your new DSLR is an important step. Make sure you check the comparison at http://www.digital-photographic-resources.com before you buy.
For Night Photography Nikon Deals Click The Blue Links Below Zoom vs. Prime Lenses for Landscape Photography?.
When you landscape photography, who do you think is better and why? In the range of 12-24mm lenses. (12-24 zoom while the 24 is a fixed) .. few things to keep in mind .. Images will be taken at all times of the day, including at night. The angle is wide. Most images are going to be two shots of scenery and some great tight corners. (I have a Nikon D80 even if it makes a difference between choice) Thanks in advance.
My choice would zoom 12-24mm due to the 1.5 "crop factor "Nikon sensor. 12mm becomes a 18mm equivalent is 24mm while 36mm equivalent. Obviously 18mm will give you more coverage. Here's my advice for good landscape photography: 1) Use a tripod. This allows you to keep the camera perfectly level. 2) Use a maximum resolution of your device photo setting. 3) Use ISO 100 or less. 4) Use Aperture Priority. 5) Use F16. With the camera on a tripod, shutter speed the camera chooses is irrelevant unless its a windy day. 6) Use a remote control or the camera self-timer to release the trigger. Why do I suggest f16? Discover the depth of field (DOF) with a 12mm lens focused at 5 'f16 going to http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html where you will find a DOF calculator handy you can use to calculate degrees of freedom for any combination of distance focal length, subject distance and f-stop imaginable, depending on your camera. There is also an information tool article on DOF. 12mm @ F16 increased to 5 'DOF is 1'-2 "to infinity. So, while the 3'-10''devant your story as far as you can see (infinity) will be put in point. I used the FotoSharp (http://www.fotosharp.com) Day & Night Guide for the years of exposure when shooting night photos without flash. Here are some examples: Scene 45 minutes after sunset, indoor sports, circus - floodlit; street corners illuminated ISO 100 f5.6 @ 1 / 4 sec. F8 @ 1 / 2 sec. F11 @ 1 sec. F16 @ 2 sec. Floodlit buildings, fountains, outdoor Christmas lights, candle closeups ISO 100 f2.8 @ 1 / 2 sec. F4 @ 1 sec. f5.6 @ 2 sec. F8 @ 4 sec. F11 @ 8 sec. F16 @ 15 sec. Roofs of the city off ISO 100 f5.6 @ 15 sec. F8 @ 30 sec. F11 @ 1 min. F16 @ 2 min. As you can easily see it no need to use a high ISO or a large f-stop (F1.4, F1.8) for your night landscape / scenic photography. If your tripod lack a high-level You can create one yourself. Just find an old (dead) and remove the flash foot (the part that slips into the shoe camera). Make sure all metals that can communicate with the boot is removed. Now buy a "base level" and a tube of Super Glue to your hardware Local. Glue the plate at the top of the foot recovery flash, it can slip into the shoe and you can always have a camera level. If my memory is good, I spent about $ 4.00 to mine. (Level A "flat" is usually round with a circle in the center. Get the bubble in the circle and your camera is level). Of course you can always spend $ 35 to $ 40 for a level but I prefer to have the most money for other thing.
Surrealism in photography was a major revolutionary change in the evolution of photography. Rather than art, the photograph was taken in an effort to copy. Surrealism is the introduction of the Â'more than real "images of art forms.
Surrealism is a movement in art and intellectual activities, emerged after World War Andre Breton, has been the founder of the surrealist concepts and collected the influence of the movement of Dande. Surrealism is in fact the true expression of emotions Corporations without polishing. André Breton describes surrealism in Surrealist Manifesto, as pure psychic automatism expressed in the actual functionality a person. Surrealist art forms characteristic differ from the conventional forms of having no specific shape or idea. It may be the expression of the basic human instinct and imaginative faculties of the unconscious mind. But when it comes to surrealism photography, critics did not even imagine such a possibility. However, "Marquise Casati" by Man Ray, has made a change to the belief as it featured multiple eyes for photography. Even if an accident were unclear, it appeared likely the feasibility of works surreal.
Man Ray and Lee Miller are considered legends of photography surreal, as they have been very successful overcome the limits of photography to create surrealistic images. Maurice Tabard is another surrealist, who had his own technique for surrealistic imaging. Hans Bellmer creatively used mechanical dolls to symbolize sexual images, while the camera was Rene Magritte tool to make virtual photographs of his paintings.
Photographs are described as surreal images, which symbolically represent dreams night mares, intoxication, sexual ecstasy, hallucination and madness. The difficulty in using photography is that it absorbs the reality and often the real images may not be sufficient to express such unconventional patterns. But the famous surrealist photographers are able to perform the task because they can use the photographic techniques effectively. The ordinary snapshots, photographs of the body of anthropological photographs, medical photographs, Film Stills, and even police photographs are manipulated to create an impression of surrealist images in the photographs.
Surrealism in photography is mostly done using different techniques. The differential techniques of light and lenses may itself be the primary technique for surrealism. Photomontage is one of the popular techniques for processing, in which several images are coupled. In photogram, a photographic record can be used in place of the camera to print the image. The images produced by the brightness of light can create amazing images with a surreal look.
Multiple exposure is another technique for surrealism, where the camera is clicked twice or more, without the negative material. The second image is superimposed on the first image and the final product will be an undefined mixture times. Cliche glass or glass negative is the surrealistic technique that uses negative coated glass plates. However, solarization or Sabattier effect seems to be the most remarkable technique for surrealism. It produces dramatic effects patterns through the hot flashes of light on photography, while developing in the darkroom. It was discovered by Lee Miller, who have selective inversion of the highlights and shadows. The light and dark areas with the line distinct from the inversion are most appropriate for surrealism.
Surrealism in photography has grown much of its primitive stages. New technology and the lenses are great opportunities for the new generation of photographers to show their emotions in the legal framework cameras.
