A nice design and a couple extra features keep the Nikon Coolpix S8000 from being an also-ran compact megazoom.

Camera 450D - Excellent Upgrade From 400D

I was previously using an EOS 400D and prior to that, a 300D which died suddenly.

There are a number of features which I would recommend over the 1000D which is the equivalent to the 400D and is the entry level model.

Briefly, this feels like a much better camera. The screen is bigger and brighter. The main improvements are the addition of spot metering which weirdly the 400D does not have. This allows light metering to be taken from a central spot in the middle of the view finder. Very useful and, in my opinion, an over site in the 400D.

The live mode for many would be useful. the Camera 450D now behaves more like a digital camera and less like an SLR as the image can be 'previewed' on screen before the picture is taken. I am now used to using the viewfinder to construct my picture but this is a welcome addition.

This camera does NOT come with an image stabilisation lens which comes at a price and is well worth it from what I can see.

The photos are brighter than the 400D. This camera gives a more reassuring click than the 400D.

More technical features like rear curtain etc. which were harder to access on the 400D are now made easier. This camera feels no more weighty but I think packs a better punch.

Really recommended as more than an entry level dSLR

Camera 450D - Excellent Camera

I am so glad I decided to get back to using a Canon EOS camera after trying various option. This is an excellent camera, versatile and easy to use .So it suits an experienced user or someone new to DSLR. I considered the 500D but as I already have a camcorder that aspect was not needed.I would thoroughly recommend the Camera 450D.

Camera 450D - Good Starter DSLR Kit

Have used this product for about 6 months now. First DSLR camera/kit I used. Very pleased with it (have taken about 7000 shots). Quality of my shots have increased multi-fold (both composed and spontaneous). I use the kit lens (especially the 18mm wide-angle) the most along with the macro lens (I also have 50mm FFL (another excellent lens) and 55-250mm lens). For any beginner who would like to start with DLSR, I find this kit excellent. There is a steep learning curve moving from a normal digital camera to a DSLR, but I guess anyone buying a DSLR kit for the first time will be aware of it (I researched for weeks after deciding to go DSLR in favour of this kit). A book or a course may be very helpful in getting used to DSLR.

Camera 450D - Excellent for Beginners!

I was looking for my first DSLR and finally it was either the Nikon D80 or the Camera 450D, I finally selected the Canon and I am already starting to love it. Although I may not be a pro like some of you here.... this camera is a excellent piece... Its not too heavy... the battery is good enough, its comfortable to handle and the adjustments are quiet friendly (although, it took me some time to figure out some of the settings icon smile Macro Lens Kit
) I have the lens that came with the kit, but you may think of buying separate lens once you get comfortable using the camera. On the down side... It is a bit expensive as compared to Nikon D80. Do your research online before settling for the camera u want and your pocket can handle. All said and done... EXCELLENT!!!

Macro Lens Canon

Canon 50mm F/2.5 Ef Compact Macro Lens

One of the best lenses that I would recommend for your Canon EOS camera would be the Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens. While this lens has its drawbacks, it's an unbeatable value for the money.

This lens was one of the first lenses that Canon released with the EOS system in 1987, so it's been in production for over 20 years. As such, this lens is rather high-quality compared to lenses designed today. It has a metal lens mount, and a very sturdy plastic body. This is a standard EF lens, meaning that it will work on any Canon EOS camera, digital or film - this includes newer digital cameras such as the Digital Rebel series, EOS 10D/20D/30D/40D, and high-end cameras such as the EOS 1D and 5D.

This lens is (as the name implies) rather compact and lightweight, so it's easy to carry around. Focusing is very reliable, but a little noisier and slower than newer EF lenses. Optics in this lens are very high-quality, and allow for beautiful photos.

The lens allows for macro focusing of objects up to a ratio of 1:2 life size. What this means is that the smallest objects that the lens can focus will be recorded on your film (or in the case of a digital camera, image sensor) at half their real-life size. This lens also allows for infinity focus, a capability that some macro lenses lack. This means that you can use this lens as a regular 50mm lens. In addition to photography of small objects, it is excellent for practically everything. Its narrow depth of field allows for a beautiful "bokeh" effect which is wonderful for portraits!

Some more expensive macro lenses can focus at "life-size", meaning that the smallest objects that can be focused will be recorded on the film or image sensor at the same size that they are in real-life. Alone, the Compact Macro lacks this capability. However, you can purchase the Canon Life-Size Converter, which will allow for you to focus up to life-size, allowing you to take even more detailed photographs of tiny objects!

Overall, the Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens is an unbeatable value for what you get, and an essential must-have for any Canon EOS owner that can afford it!

A Guide to Medium Format Photography

General.
Medium Format cameras are often viewed as a big step up from 35mm format cameras. They are certainly the domain of the serious photographer, whether professional, aspiring professional or experienced amateur.

Price is often the most significant factor that stops people stepping up to this format, with fully featured, automatic cameras regularly coming in at well over £2000. Before you are put off for life though, at the other end of the market, for around £200, you can find an entry level camera. Obviously cameras in this price range will not be overloaded with all the latest state of the art features, but you will be able to explore the medium format world. For many former aspiring professionals the step up to this format has led to increases in income quickly offsetting the initial expenditure.

Benefits.
If you wish to sell your photographs in the commercial world then you should seriously consider a medium format camera. Your chances of success are considerably higher when you are able to present to art directors and picture editors the larger slides and negatives produced by these cameras. It is easy to understand why when you consider the fact that the negative size is typically 350% larger that a 35mm negative. Not only do the images look more impressive, but because of the level of details that can be captured in a Medium Format image, enlargements are of a far greater quality. If you are a picture editor this is exactly the level of quality that you demand.

Components.
Medium Format cameras have four major components. All components are interchangeable. Although it should be noted that components are not always compatible across different manufactures. There has been a move towards lighter components making Medium Format cameras easier to use for work out in the field. A number of the features now available also provide these cameras with some of the functionality you have come to expect from an SLR.

The Body.
The body is the control centre and forms the hub of the camera. Once the components are fitted to the body you are ready to start shooting. The body has a maximum format size that it is capable of producing, so when you see a camera quoted as a 6x6, then the camera can produce images up to 6 by 6cm. A 6x6cm image is 350% larger than a 35mm image, so you can begin to see the power of this type of camera and why they are the choice of professional photographers. The actual picture area is a shade under the format size, for example a 6x7cm format can give a 56x69.5mm picture.

The Back.
The camera back holds the film. Different format sizes and film types can be used, with the interchangeable backs allowing for mid roll change. If you are using a camera body with a maximum format capability of 6x7cm, then you will normally be able to use backs with film sizes 35mm, 35mm panoramic, 6x4.5cm, 6x6cm, up to 6x7cm.

A popular additional back is the Polaroid instant film back. This back allows you to take a test picture and see an instant print. If you are satisfied with the instant print then you can reselect the back and shoot your image confident of the end result.

There is also an increasing range of digital backs available. These allow you to maximise your investment in Medium Format equipment by adding digital capabilities. The first Medium Format cameras built for digital photography are now becoming available.

Some cameras also offer a revolving film back making it possible to change from portrait to landscape shots without moving the camera.

The Lens.
As with any camera the lens is a vital piece of equipment. A lens of inferior quality will lead to poor quality final results. The choice of available lenses is wide and varied, including fixed and zoom. Lenses can commonly be found in the range of 40mm to 500mm. At the lower end of the range tend to be a series of wide angle lenses, with the upper end providing telephoto effects. Also included in the range are a number of special application lenses, fish eye, macro and soft focus, being among those available.

There are also a number of further attachments available, affording you total control over each different shot. These include fisheye lenses, auto extension tubes for close up photography, additional close up lenses, focusing levers for rapid focusing, tele-converters and bellows attachments for continuous variations in magnifications. For lenses if the standard range you are also likely to find matching lens hoods for removing stray rays.

The Finder.
Cameras can come with a choice of finder. Waist and eye level finders are available. Prism finders are available for laterally correct, upright images. Top of the range finders provide additional functions such as, a choice of spot or average metering, exposure compensation, TTL automatic exposure systems and LCDs indicating the different modes currently selected, appropriate shutter speed and the exposure compensation setting condition.

The finders work in conjunction with focusing screens. There is also a wide choice of focusing screens. The screen for general purpose photography is the Matte screen. Others available include the Checker for close ups, copy work and architectural applications, Rangefinder Spot for rapid, accurate focusing and the Cross-Hair for close ups and astronomical work. A series of correction lenses are also available.

For precision focusing you can attach a magnifier to a eye level prism finder. These work by magnifying the centre of the focusing screen. Once focusing has been achieved they can be raised to check the overall composition.

Points to Remember.

Image Size.
The primary reason for stepping up to the Medium Format range is the size and therefore quality of the image produced by this type of camera.

Editing and Retouching.
The large image size makes it easier to edit and retouch an image. Images are also perfect for cropping and enlarging.

Finders.
Whatever type of camera you are buying the quality of the finder is always an important aspect to consider. Medium Format cameras offer larger finders than their 35mm competitors, making it easier to see the exact image that you are about to capture.

Film.
With typically 15 exposures or less per roll, film is also more expensive to buy and develop. The number of exposures per roll depends on the format of the pictures that you are planning to take. If you take 6x7cm pictures you will get less exposures per film than if you take 6x4.5cm pictures. Standard films are 120 and 220. A wide range of film speeds are available, similar to 35mm film and slide.

Multi Format.
By using interchangeable backs, cameras will shoot different size images.

Mid Roll Change.
It is possible to change film in the middle of a roll, returning to the original when required.

Flash Units.
There are a wide range of flash units are available for Medium Format cameras. Compatibility needs to be checked to ensure your chosen flash unit will work with your camera.

TTL Metering.
Highly accurate exposures can be achieved through cameras offering Through The Lens (TTL) direct light measurements at the film plane.

Speed Grips.
For hand held shots, out in the field, speed grips are available.

Lenses.
A wide range of lenses and complementary attachments are available to suit every photographic opportunity.

Motor Drives.
Motor Drives are available making continuous sequential shooting a possibility.

Bulb Shutter Mechanism.
Some cameras now have a Bulb Shutter Mechanism for long exposure work.

Rental.
Stepping up to Medium Format can feel like a leap in the dark. So if you are not sure what to buy or uncertain about the merits of Medium Format photography, then try some cameras on rental. Rental rates can be very reasonable and this can help you decide which features you consider a must and which features you can add on later.

Second Hand Market.
There is an active second hand market for Medium Format cameras and accessories, although you may not get all the latest features there are some very good deals to be found. Always ensure that you get a guarantee for any used equipment.

Photography is an art form. Whether you capture your family's precious memories or take beautiful photographs for a living or perhaps you are a photographic artist, you will know that it is art. Photographs are some of the most beautiful and moving art pieces ever created, and yes; your family photographs qualify as art too. For the serious photographer there is nothing better than a digital SLR camera for the job.

You are offered dozens of features to pick and choose from to make your end result all the better for it. That brings us to choosing the perfect digital SLR camera lens for your needs. Your digital SLR camera lens can make or break your photographic experience despite the camera quality. Okay, you cannot go and put a thousand dollar lens on a fifty-dollar camera and hope it will work miracles but the digital SLR camera lens has a huge role in picture quality in the end, where it matters.

Lenses For Life

Lenses are everything when you are working with any kind of camera. Whether you own a normal SLR camera or a digital video camera, you will have figured out the importance of different lenses. The digital SLR camera lens will either make or break the quality of your end result. So, skimping here is not an option. When shopping for your new photographic companion you should not underestimate what a digital SLR camera lens can do for your relationship.

Now, the different lenses available to you may seem overwhelming in the beginning. But, if you have patience and take the time you will soon see them in a completely different light. The digital SLR camera lens is your friend, an extension of your relationship with your camera. And as such it should be treated with the same care that you took when picking out your camera. If that is not enough to convince you then the price of the lenses should, they do not come cheap and you cannot afford to waste money on the wrong digital SLR camera lens.

You need to research which lenses would suit your type and style of photography better. You can choose from a wide variety. Do you need micro or macro lenses? Perhaps you need wide angle or telephoto lenses. Maybe plain normal lenses will do it for you or a zoom lens. Perhaps your prime suspect is a prime lens. You will never know which digital SLR camera lens or lenses you will need until you get your hands dirty and start reading about your photographic companion online.

How To Choose The Right Digital SLR And Lens Cameras

Choosing the Right Digital SLR for Your Nature Photography

It is very true that it doesn't matter what equipment you use -- it's what you do with the camera that matters. However, there is no question that when you're hiking through a thick jungle in the middle of central america you want to pack light. Even though the Nikon D2x has the prestige of being Nikon's premier "PRO" camera, you may not find it's the best fit for your nature work.

One of the first things you need to consider is how you're going to use the pictures. Look up the magazines you want to publish your work. Send in for "submission guidelines" and find out their minimum mega pixel count. The same is true for stock agencies -- browse around and decide which place you'd ultimately like to sell your work. Many organizations have their submission guideliens published on their websites. If you're more interested in learning and doing nature photography for your own pleasure then by all means buy the less expensive models. There's nothing wrong with a camera that takes a 5 or 6 megapixel image. You'll still be able to blow it up to poster size if you want a special print made.

Choosing the Right Lenses

Unfortunately, no one can tell you which lenses to buy or "how to build the perfect SLR system for nature photography." Again, it depends on the kinds of photos you like to take, your personal preference and the market where you want to sell your image.

The great advantage of Nikon cameras is that you can use older lenses on your body. This allows a lot more freedom of choice and means you can get really amazing older lenses at shockingly affordable prices.

I'll give you an example. One of my favorite lenses is a 300mm f4 manual focus prime lens from the 1970s. Nikon especially developed ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass to provide pricise optical colour correction. This special glass (not available in all Nikon lenses) provides the sharp, clear resolution required for superb photographs. The other advantage (at least for me since I generally hike to find wildlife) is that it weighs less and packs small.

Another example -- the 50mm 1.4 auto focus). It's actually an 80mm on your body. That means you have a prime lens at 80mm that can take pictures in the darkest settings. And, because Nikon lenses has been perfecting its 50mm lenses since its inception as a company (Nikon used to include a 50mm on all its bodies until well into the late 1980s), it's one of Nikon's very best lenses. It's cheap because 50mm on a 35mm camera is kind of pooey. But 80mm on a digial camera is marvelous.

Magnification - Use it to your Advantage

For wildlife photographers in particular, the one advantage of shooting with any Nikon digital camera these days is the magnification factor. Rather than create a sensor the same size as one frame of 35mm film, Nikon and most other digital SLR camera manufacturers decided to create a sensor that is smaller than the 24x36mm standard frame of the older film models. Having a smaller sensor means you aren't going to capture all the information on the left and right and top and bottom of the frame. This may sound really bad... but there is no need to worry about what you haven't captured because the viewfinder has been adjusted so that what you see optically is what is captured in the digital file.

The result is that the camera multiplies the magnification of all the lenses. Nikon's magnification (depending on the camera you use) is around 1.5x. That means a 300mm lens is now magnified to 450mm. This is great news for wildlife photographers. The only drawback is that wider angle lenses (like a 17mm wide angle becomes a 25.5mm not-as-wide-angle lens. However, landscape photographers still have some options. I'll get to those in a bit.

Lenses - Pros and Cons

While I can't tell you the right lenses to buy for your particualr needs... I can give you some feedback/impressions about the particular lenses I am using or have used in the past.

Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8 Fisheye: I never thought such a specialized lens could provide me with so much use. For more information, I've written a short article about how to use a fisheye lens in your nature photography athttp://www.naturestocklibrary.com/gallery/2472892

Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom - This lens is all right. I bought it as a kit lens a long time ago and it's served well for the wider range. I wish I had saved pennies and purchased a 2.8 that offered a wider range (like a 12mm to 25mm).

Tamron 17-35mm f2.8: This is a great lens but, alas, I purchased it for a film camera and the magnification on my digital body means that it isn't that useful in my photography right now. I'm planning on selling it (along with my other wide angle) and buying a 2.8 that has a wider range so I can do more with landscape photography.

Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D AF - This is the same lens I discussed earlier. It's small, has a low price tag, allows you to shoot in really dark situations and it's an 80mm on a digital camera. You really can't go wrong.

Nikkor Nikon 80-200mm f2.8D ED AF Zoom - This is a fantastic lens that stays at 2.8 no matter if you are shooting at 80 or 200mm. Again, magnification means it's actually a 300mm zoom. Zooms are great because you can adjust your focus distance depending on where your subject is located. Not so great with subjects that are always far away (like the macaws seen here), but really awesome for docile wildlife like deer. It also has a macro function that works beautifully.

Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D AF Micro, or 105 Micro for short - This is probably Nikon's most used macro lens, probably because the lens can serve triple duty. First of all, it is a macro photography lens and it allows you to take photographs at a 1:1 reproduction ratio (on a 35mm body), which means that a 24 by 36 mm subject will fill the entire frame. Second, it makes a very good general purpose short telephoto lens. Third, it is also at least a very reasonable portrait lens (although, with magnification it may be too much of a telephoto on a digital SLR). I really love this lens for macro photography.

Nikkor 300mm f4 manual focus - While a "prime" lens doesn't offer the flexibilty of a zoom... it's still an ideal choice for getting the best results in your work. This is the same lens I discussed earlier and, considering it cost only $350, it's light & the focusing is so smooth, it's one of my favorite lenses. I never leave home without it.

Nikkor 600mm f5.6 manual focus ED Glass - Again, I paid a lot less for this lens (which is actually a hefty 900mm on a digital body and also has the famous Nikon ED glass!!) because it's an older model and it's manual focus. I spent $1,599 USD - but consider that a newer model would go for at least $5,000 to $25,000, depending on the f stop. Some may argue that 5.6 is a bit too narrow of an f stop but I find the compression with telephoto lenses means that I wouldn't want to shoot a 900mm subject with anything wider than 5.6 (2.8 would make the focus far too shallow on such a far away subject). Although... for closer subjects 2.8 is magic!

In the past, I have also used the Sigma 70-300mm 3.5-5.6 and the Tamron 200-400mm 3.5-5.6 and both served well as affordable zooms while I was learning about photography. I have since sold them to pay for the lenses I currently use.

Why I LOVE and Highly Recommend Manual Focus

I used to be terrified of focusing manually. On most auto focus lenses, the focus ring is small and more difficult to use... also there's something really easy about just allowing your camera to do the focusing work for you. I was afraid I couldn't react quickly enough to moving subjects and that I wouldn't be as good as my camera's auto focus. Now I see the errors of my ways.

For wildlife (or people), you want to make sure the main subject's eyes are in perfect focus. You won't be able to sell any image if the eyes aren't in focus. If you shoot a subject 10 feet away at 2.8 and use auto focus, the camera will choose the object closer to the camera (usually the nose, cheek, or eye brow... not the eye itself). A 2.8 aperture means that you will have such a soft depth of field that the eyes will appear out of focus. The older (and more affordable) manual focus lenses have the most beautiful focusing rings you've ever seen. I find it much easier to use manual focus on my 300mm f4 lens from the 1970s than my newer autofocus 80-200mm zoom (using the auto focus feature). Unfortuately, I find the focusing ring on the newer models a little bit pooey... but I did want to make the case for why I think manual focus lenses from the 1970s are the greatest things since sliced bread!

Rule of Thumb for Fast Subjects

You may already be aware that your shutter speed should be at least the same as the distance of your lens. For instance, you need to shoot at least 1/300th of a second if you are using a 300mm lens or hand shake will make your picture look really blurry. And anything larger than 300mm should be put on a tripod (preferably one with a ball head for wildlife work). With magnification, you may be able to get away with shooting a 300mm (a 450mm on your digital) hand-held... at 1/450th of a second or higher...)in a pinch... but investing in a good ball head tripod will really improve your results if your lens is higher than 300mm.

What fisheye/macro/wide angle lens will fit on an Insignia NS-DV1080p Camcorder?

I want to buy one but can't find one that will work. Im hoping there is one out there that makes my vid quality better and not worse.

none. an auxillary fisheye lens works by changing the focal length of the main lens to be shorter. this also changes the position of the lens for focus. unfortunately the insignia camera has a fixed lens. fixed so the focus cannot change. any attempt to put a fisheye or wide adaptor will just result in blurry pictures.

Macro Photography - Intro To Using A Macro Lens

At a certain point, there will be a time when you have taken pictures of just about everything in what seems like every possible angle. It is entirely possible you may run out of ideas or find yourself in a creative lull. One of the best cures for a situation like this is swinging by your local photo shop and picking up a nice piece of gear to experiment with. There are lots of different accessories to choose from that can improve and challenge your skills, but the best place to start is with a new lens. One of the most interesting and useful focused-use lenses out there is the macro lens.

All 35mm camera lenses have some kind of ratio that represent the size of an object in the picture compared to its real life size. A traditional lens presents objects at much smaller than their actual size (imagine a life-sized photograph of the Brooklyn Bridge!) while macro lenses will get a ratio much closer to reality. Have you ever looked at a close up of a flower or a head of an ant? Chances are those photographs were shot with a macro lens.

There are a few varieties of macro lens available. The most common ratio for consumer photo equipment is about 1:2 which means that subjects in the picture will be half their actual size. This may not seem like much, but remember that youre going to blow the image up when its printed onto an 8x10 or 5x7 photograph, making the final version much larger than real life. Super-high grade equipment can hit a ratio of 5:1, which would be perfect for mapping out a snowflake or exploring a rough surface like a sponge. You can find simple attachments for your normal lens (these have varied results) or a full lens to attach to your camera body, whatever suits your budget.

Macro Lens Experiments

Once you have a macro lens and have got a bearing on how it works, go out into the world and start seeing things like youve never seen them before. Even the most familiar of subjects or environments can become dramatically new and exciting when viewed from a different perspective, and a macro lens will certainly provide that to you. Heres some fun things to do with your new macro lens:

* Explore your house and get a bugs-eye view of your furniture, carpet, and surfaces.

* See how the lens expands your creativity by shooting common items in your neighborhood

* Set up a small space and see if you can duplicate catalog type images of small products

Macro lenses can have a great impact on how you see the world and provide you with a versatile alternative to shooting with a regular lens. You never know when you might need to make something tiny the center of focus and theres no better way to do it than by making it huge. Its also fun to take pictures of common objects at super-close range and see if your friends and family can figure out what the item is. Macro lenses can turn grass into green bladed mountains or ants into scary creatures that make your imagination run wild.

While the cost of a separate macro lens can cost you somewhere between $200-400, you'll find that the extra options you'll have to shoot are well worth the cost. Making mountains out of molehills may not work out for us in our jobs or personal relationships, but in photography it can be great fun. Besides, it's the little things that make life interesting.

Is my Hanimex Macro lens compatible with the sony camera I'm looking at?

I have a lens I used on a an old minolta film camera. I'm not looking at a Sony A230. I don't have documentation on my lens other than it says Auto Hanimex MC zoom 1:4.0 f+80~200mm on it. I've looked up the manufacturer on line, but don't get a real answer. Where can I find if it is TRULY compatible?

Unfortunately, no your Hanimex lens will not mount on a Sony A230 DSLR. The notation "MC" is the tip-off since it means Meter Coupled. Minolta used this notation on many of their lenses, especially the MC ROKKOR-X ones.

Minolta abandoned the SR lens mount when they introduced the Maxxum 7000 auto focus camera with the A-mount in 1985. Since Sony bought the DSLR technology from Konica-Minolta when they quit the camera business in 2006, Sony naturally uses the A-mount.

There is an adapter to allow you to use the Hanimex lens on the A230 but it will be with stop-down metering.

Sony Dsc S700 Digital Camera

This camera is at the lowest range of Sony's camera line. It does not fail to click some great useable pictures for you with its 7.2 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom.

Design
Like all the other Sony cameras, Sony DSC-S700 camera is sleek and compact in size. It fits in any pocket. It weighs only 130 gm.

Controls
Sony DSC-S700 camera uses a typical control layout, which is seen in most of the cameras in its class. The mode dial and power switch are on top. On the back you will find a zoom rocker. The zoom rocker is a switch with four controls and an enter key too. The four way switch button is used for various functions such as exposure compensation, flash, macro and self-timer; and image quality/delete, review, display and menu buttons. The buttons may sometimes be hard and flat to push. Thus the zoom rocker gives you access to all the important functions at one go. Simplicity at its best!

Key Features
2.5 inch LCD screen adorns Sony DSC-S700 camera. But this camera lacks an optical viewfinder. The lens has 3x zoom range. The many options offered in the menu are white balance presets. Evaluating metering is also included in it.

User friendly Aspects
Sony has added a nice touch by adding options such as Flash compensation and Single or Burst shooting options available in the menu itself. The best part about this camera is that it offers ISO sensitivity upto 1000. This means great pictures very time you click!

Performance
Sony DSC-S700 camera performs better than its other counterparts. It takes 2 seconds to capture its first shot. When there are no contrast problems and other difficulties with lighting, it can fire a shot in less than 0.8 seconds. Now that's performance!
The shutter speed decreases to 1.1 seconds in dim light settings. When you click pictures with flash on, then this fast performer can click two snaps within an interval of 2.5 seconds only.
The picture quality of this sony digital camera is best in its class. It beats its other counterparts on this point. Beyond ISO levels 200, you might get grainy pictures. So its better that you click pictures with lower ISO settings.

Conclusion
Sony DSC-S700 camera is pretty comfortable to shoot one handed. Sony DSC-S700 camera stands out in the camera market as it has a commendable performance in its class.
