Angle Lens Macro
Is the Opteka Wide Angle Fisheye Lens compatible with the Canon EF 17-40mm wideangle lens?
I'm thinking about purchasing the Opteka .35x HD² Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens, and wondering whether or not it would be compatible with my Canon EF 17-40mm wideangle lens.
If not, is there an adapter?
Yes if it is the same thread size. The 17-40mm has a 77mm filter thread size so if it is the same then yes it will fit. That said be aware that the optical quality of these add on lenses is very poor. If you want a fisheye for anything other than a cheap thing to play around with you should buy a real fisheye lens. The Canon fisheye is great for a full frame or film camera but Canon does not make a fisheye for the cropped sensor DSLR's. In that case the Tokina 11-17mm fisheye is a very good choice.
