Where can I buy LUMIX GF1 WHITE Body ENGLISH MENU - ship to Canada?

I'd liketo buy the PANASONIC LUMIX GF-1 camera kit - preferably white body, perhaps silver, w/20mm f1/7 lens and boxed accessories. Must have English language option for menus. What reputable online retailer has this in stock, will sell this to me, and ship it to Canada? Panasonic has just introduced it with 4 colors in most of the world... yet in Canada they offer it only in Black!

I am interested in the same information (i.e. white body w/20mm f1.7 lens and accessories) possibly also with the white EVF. The retailer has to be outside of North America as the white version is not available here.

Camera 450D - Excellent Upgrade From 400D

I was previously using an EOS 400D and prior to that, a 300D which died suddenly.

There are a number of features which I would recommend over the 1000D which is the equivalent to the 400D and is the entry level model.

Briefly, this feels like a much better camera. The screen is bigger and brighter. The main improvements are the addition of spot metering which weirdly the 400D does not have. This allows light metering to be taken from a central spot in the middle of the view finder. Very useful and, in my opinion, an over site in the 400D.

The live mode for many would be useful. the Camera 450D now behaves more like a digital camera and less like an SLR as the image can be 'previewed' on screen before the picture is taken. I am now used to using the viewfinder to construct my picture but this is a welcome addition.

This camera does NOT come with an image stabilisation lens which comes at a price and is well worth it from what I can see.

The photos are brighter than the 400D. This camera gives a more reassuring click than the 400D.

More technical features like rear curtain etc. which were harder to access on the 400D are now made easier. This camera feels no more weighty but I think packs a better punch.

Really recommended as more than an entry level dSLR

I am so glad I decided to get back to using a Canon EOS camera after trying various option. This is an excellent camera, versatile and easy to use .So it suits an experienced user or someone new to DSLR. I considered the 500D but as I already have a camcorder that aspect was not needed.I would thoroughly recommend the Camera 450D.

Camera 450D - Good Starter DSLR Kit

Have used this product for about 6 months now. First DSLR camera/kit I used. Very pleased with it (have taken about 7000 shots). Quality of my shots have increased multi-fold (both composed and spontaneous). I use the kit lens (especially the 18mm wide-angle) the most along with the macro lens (I also have 50mm FFL (another excellent lens) and 55-250mm lens). For any beginner who would like to start with DLSR, I find this kit excellent. There is a steep learning curve moving from a normal digital camera to a DSLR, but I guess anyone buying a DSLR kit for the first time will be aware of it (I researched for weeks after deciding to go DSLR in favour of this kit). A book or a course may be very helpful in getting used to DSLR.

Camera 450D - Excellent for Beginners!

I was looking for my first DSLR and finally it was either the Nikon D80 or the Camera 450D, I finally selected the Canon and I am already starting to love it. Although I may not be a pro like some of you here.... this camera is a excellent piece... Its not too heavy... the battery is good enough, its comfortable to handle and the adjustments are quiet friendly (although, it took me some time to figure out some of the settings ) I have the lens that came with the kit, but you may think of buying separate lens once you get comfortable using the camera. On the down side... It is a bit expensive as compared to Nikon D80. Do your research online before settling for the camera u want and your pocket can handle. All said and done... EXCELLENT!!!

Canon 20D Err 99?
My Canon 20D started acting up Saturday evening. The shutter keeps space and closing on its own, as though I was holding down the button, adjectives the while displaying ERR 99. I don't think the shutter button is stuck, as I can still grain it press up and down. It won't stop clicking, as long as the power is on, and the battery and memory card doors are closed. I can't access the menu to reset - the menu will not come up, because it's too busy slit and closing the shutter. I've changed batteries, memory cards, lenses... still like peas in a pod results. Even when the power is off, if I unequivocal the battery door, memory door or remove the lens, it clicks one or two more times. I've even removed the small internal freestyle to do a hard reset. Any thoughts? The camera is a few years outmoded, and therefore no longer beneath warranty.

Canon 400D camera for £300ish or 450D camera for £540- is it better to spend the extra £250?
I can't decide between the two- lb540 is abundantly of money, and I'm not sure how much I'll be using the camera. But at the same time I want something that I won't be wanting to upgrade contained by 6 months. I'd be opting for the apparatus lens with any camera I reckon. Are there any other DSLRs worth considering contained by the same price array (Nikon D40x/D60, Sony A200/A350 etc.)?

How to Prepare Your Mask for Diving Like a Pro

You’ve found the perfect mask that fits you face and the right color to impress the fish.

Here are some tips to help you prepare your mask before taking it into the water.

1. Remove all labels from the lenses, inside and out.

2. Take 500 PSI Mask Scrub solution and apply to the inside of your mask lenses.

3. Using your fingers in a circular motion, rubbed the mask scrub around the inside of your mask lens.

4. Let sit for a few minutes

5. Rinse mask.

6. If the mask scrub is not available use toothpaste and a toothbrush or soft scrub.

7. Place your snorkel on the left side of your head, attaching it to your mask strap.

8. Place your mask on your face and adjust it for fit & remember, if you’re wearing a hood, readjust the strap size.

9. When you’re ready to use the mask, use commercial defog like 500PSI Mask Defog, available in 2 Oz or 4 Oz bottles for portability. Dive leaders, Shop Owners or Dive Resort Operators, we recommend Trident’s Mask Defog Solution (available in 1 Gallon bottles.) Why should you use a Commercial Defog? It’s much more sanitary than your salvia and lasts longer keeping your mask de-fogged!

After use, make it a point to soak your mask in warm water, especially if it was used in salt water. The warmer water will break the salt crystals and keep your mask nice and clean.

Every once in a while, re-sanitize your mask and snorkel with toothpaste and the toothbrush. It will keep them from retaining a possible mildew odor. You could also soak or rinse them with a mild solution of mouthwash. This solution could be used with your regulator mouthpiece, your manual inflator-hose and the inside of your BCD.

Until now, this is a good camera. There was no real time to test or study guide for all the products features. I am not a professional photographer, but expect good pictures, but I want it. So far this is a great camera. Haven't had time to put it to the real test or study the manual for all this products capabilities. I am not a professional photographer but expect good photos when I want one. It is a big upgrade from my fuji camera which took thousands of pics for me. I had been researching the XSi for quite some time, and I wanted to get a zoom lens for the camera. This kit is exactly what I wanted. No extra frills that I didn't need, and got 2 decent lenses for my XSi! I really like the XSi, even though there have been a couple of other new releases since this camera was made available (T1i, Nikon D5000, etc). I am a big fan of Canon and I really do enjoy this camera. I get great results, and it is fun to learn from your "not so great results!" (These only happen because I am not as familiar with the camera, as I am mostly an amateur that wants to learn more and take great pictures.) Need a Wide Angle lens for nikon d40x?

Hello! I am looking for a good wide angle lens to fit on my nikon d40x. I already have the kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G). Would a wide angle lens like AF 24mm f/2.8D or AF 28mm f/2.8D of any use? Will these wide angle lens produce a wider image when compared to image taken at 18mm via the kit lens.
Thank you all for your suggestions. AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED fits best for my d40x but is bit costly. Are there any other wide angle lens (sigma/tokina etc etc) with AF-S as D40x doesnt have a focusing motor within the body.
what about Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM ?

The 24 mm lens is not nearly as wide as your 18-55 mm and the 28 mm narrower still. To go wider, you will want to look at either the 12-24 mm or new 10-24 mm zoom lens

This will help you compare the lenses:

D40x vs. 35 mm Nikon

10 mm = 15 mm
12 mm = 18 mm
18 mm = 27 mm
24 mm = 36 mm (at the edge of what is called wide angle
After these focal lengths, the lenses are no longer wide angle
28 = 42 mm, edging close to being a "normal" lens
