I really do not see how we're erases the experience could be related to material or optics. You're either using the digital zoom or your shutter speed is not fast enough. Stay away from digital zoom. It is only crops the center of your image and magnifies it by interpolation whereas optical zoom moves the lens in your goal to give you true zoom. Check your manual to avoid the digital zoom or delete it all together. If you take pictures without flash zoom while in a dark scene, you're pretty lucky. As a point & shoot you do not have much choice. Or use the flash or action scene mode, if available.

My experience with digital cameras began with the Canon G5 model. Until then, I had used film cameras exclusively, So I wanted to test the waters and digital I liked the result. Unfortunately, this camera bit the dust, and it was time to see what which was available for a replacement and I was pleasantly surprised by the options.

The G10 was released last year was an improved version 2009. The new Canon PowerShot G11 offers 10MP certain changes which may be welcome for some, but may leave others preferring that the G10 has to offer. Series Canon G was an excellent performance in its class, and the G11 is committed to continue this success.

A major difference is that the G11 reduced to 10.0 megapixels MP 14.7 MP. While this may seem contrary to what you expect from a new model, the reduction megapixels produces a cleaner image with less noise, especially at high ISO's. In simple terms, the more megapixels, the more imperfections you will see because of the lens and the sensor does not "follow" the number of megapixels. This concept of "Chasing megapixels is an error common, and the G11 addresses this very well.

The next thing you notice is the addition of variable angle, flip-out screen that was seen in the previous model Canon cameras. Many people find this feature great because it allows the LCD to be adjusted according to user preferences shooting, and allows plans that you may otherwise not be able to fit properly. This is particularly true when shooting video. This is one of my favorite features, and I miss it when you use a camera without it.

The camera has a 5x optical zoom works very well. The optical zoom is much better than digital zoom cameras are many. Digital zoom makes the resulting images more pixilated, especially on larger prints.

Another thing I like the Canon G11 is the ability to use Speedlight external flash attached to the claw. This gives much more control when the flash is used for example to avoid "bright object with a shadow behind drives it "look. It also helps reduce red-eye", although the G11 has that feature built into the camera so.

The G11 is an excellent performance in this camera compact digital camera segment. You can get professional results without having to switch to a digital SLR, making it an excellent choice for those who want a solid point-and-shoot that produces great pictures. While you may not really need to move up from the G10, the Canon PowerShot G11 is another great offering 10MP in the G-Series Canon cameras.
