Can I use the Pentax ist battery grip with a Samsung GX-1L?

I just received one as a gift and was told the same thing for your brand Samsung GX-1L is a brand new Pentax ist DL. Does anyone know if the Pentax grip to work with the Samsung. Thank you for any positive information.
