Canon EOS 1000D DC or IS Lens?
I'm looking to buy a Canon EOS 1000D kit online. However, the kit lens is stated to be a Canon 18-55mm DC lens and not 18-55 IS. I've had a look around the difference but cannot find an answer. I am worried that I have a different not as good lense of the product is not legit.

The fact that they call it DC sketches me out a little bit. The website also has no reviews on resellerratings.com. There's a lot of scamish camera sites out there. Personally, I'd avoid this site and go somewhere reputable.

So I am filming and became frustrated with the results. This is my first DSLR a pilot country, and I must say I'm addicted! This is the most versatile device, which I have ever owned. Of course, is a learning curve, but when you get the hang of it, you find it hard to set the camera down. Ultimately, I hope to update, but now it is the camera. If you're thinking of buying one, stop thinking about this and that. It will not be disappointed, and you spend time thinking about it could be used to better shooting.

So, I've been using point and shoots and becoming frustrated with the results. This is my first foray into DSLR land, and I have to say, I'm hooked! This has got to be the MOST versatile piece of equipment that I've ever owned. Of course there's a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you'll have problems putting this camera down. Eventually, I hope to upgrade, but for right now, this is the camera to have. If you're thinking about buying one, stop thinking about it and do it. You WON'T be disappointed, and the time you're spending thinking about it could be better spent taking pictures.
