Supercharge Your Lens With Super Fast Google Indexing

It happens to everyone. They produce what they think is the perfect website or Squidoo lens, only to fail to get any visitors. Why does this happen? Everything looks perfect! You have lots of verbage and pictures. Your content is relevant and people ARE searching for what you have to offer. So what's the problem?

Unfortunately, it could be LOTS of things! Here are some things to look for when optimizing your web site or lens to get free ranking on Google.

Keywords: Not to little – not too much. Your page should have no more than a 9% ratio of keyword to total words. More than that and Google will penalize you.

Your main keyword should be in:

• the url of your site
• the title
• the first few words of your intro
• the module titles of a lens – or the subheadings of a web page
• anchor text in the lens of page

These are all hot spots that Google looks at, so be sure to use them.

Images – are your images named something like “abc123” or do you give them names appropriate to your keywords? Remember, when you name them on your hard drive you can use spaces – HOWEVER, when you upload them to your lens or web site, they will get renamed to something irrelevant if they have to convert those spaces. It's always best to just name them correctly in the first place. Instead of “Pic of acne scar”, name your image “acne-scar”. This way when it's uploaded it will be ready to go and recognizable by Google!

Have you pinged your website or lens? Everytime you update your page or lens, ping it! This tells all of the search engines that there is something new to check out on your site.

Are you blogging about your site or lens. Blogging gives you back links – another way Google has of figuring out if your “important” enough to come visit and rank. There are a lot of free blogging places out there. Grab one and use it!

Are you writing enough articles. Articles, like blogging, provides back links to your site. Make sure you do enough. Try to get at least one of your articles on Ezine. They are the premier article site and Google loves them.

These are just a few tips to help you get indexed by Google. If you do them all it shouldn't take long at all for HER to find you!
